Fry small balls of urid paste till they are light golden. Keep them on a tissue so that excess oil is soaked out. Then tranfer them in a bowl of water. Refrigerate them.
Soak the tamarind in one cup of water for 15 mins. Squeeze out the juice of it using a strainer. Add all the spices and the rose syrup. Add 3 cups of water and give it a good stir. Keep the water in refrigerator.
Add vadas in this spicy water 10 mins before serving. It tastes best when the water is chilled. It makes a good starter.
